Product Detail

The Alcatraz is purpose - built to be the ultimate dirt jump and slopestyle bike. Marin collaborated closely with Matt Jones to create a modern dirt jump frame that meets all your needs. Whether you're hitting the local jumps, shredding the pump track, or skating at the local park, this bike has got you covered. The Alcatraz 2 takes it a step further with a Series 3 aluminum frame. It's super stiff for quick acceleration and tough enough to handle heavy impacts. Short stays make manuals a breeze, and the ambidextrous cable routing lets you set up your brakes on either side of the handlebars. The Manitou Circus Expert 100mm coil fork is both stiff and light, ideal for high - flying riders. Shimano hydraulic disc brakes offer precise speed control, and the single - speed drivetrain is filled with high - quality Marin parts. It comes with Marin Custom Extrusion 26” rims and Vee Tire 2.25” rubber. Best of all, it's available in regular and long frame sizes to fit riders of all heights.

Using your Marin Alcatraz 2 dirt jump bike is a blast! To get started, make sure your seat height is adjusted to your comfort. When riding, keep your body centered and balanced on the bike, especially when making jumps or going fast on the pump track. For braking, use the Shimano hydraulic disc brakes gently at first to get a feel for how they work, and then you can adjust your speed more precisely as needed. When it comes to safety, always wear a helmet and appropriate protective gear. Check your tires regularly for proper inflation and any signs of wear. The Vee Tire 2.25” rubber should have good tread for optimal traction. For maintenance, clean your bike after each ride to prevent dirt and grime from building up. Lubricate the chain every few rides to keep it running smoothly. The Series 3 aluminum frame is tough, but it's still a good idea to check for any signs of damage after heavy use. If you're not sure how to do something, it's always a good idea to take your bike to a professional bike mechanic.
