The Alcatraz is a purpose - built dirt jump and slopestyle bike that delivers an unparalleled riding experience. Developed in close collaboration with Matt Jones, Marin has crafted a modern dirt jump frame that meets all the demands of today's riders. Whether you're soaring over your local jumps, flying through the pump track, or grinding at the skate park, the Alcatraz has got you covered. The Alcatraz 1 features a Series 3 aluminum frame, tough enough to withstand hard impacts. It offers lightning - fast acceleration and can handle heavy hits with ease. Short stays make manual maneuvers a breeze, and the ambidextrous cable routing allows you to set up your brakes on either side of the handlebars. Equipped with a suspension - corrected CrMo fork, front and rear Tektro mechanical disc brakes, Marin Custom Extrusion 26” rims, and Vee Tire 2.25” rubber, this bike is loaded with durable Marin components. Available in regular and long frame sizes, it suits riders of all heights.

Using your Marin Alcatraz 1 is a joy. For dirt jumping, approach the jump at a good speed, then as you hit the ramp, use your legs to push up and get some air. When landing, bend your knees to absorb the shock. In the pump track, use your body to generate momentum by pushing and pulling at the right times. At the skate park, be careful when grinding and make sure to keep your balance. As for maintenance, regularly check the brakes to ensure they're working properly. Lubricate the chain every few rides to keep it running smoothly. After riding in wet conditions, dry the bike thoroughly to prevent rust. Check the tire pressure before each ride, as the right pressure can improve your performance and the lifespan of the tires. Also, keep an eye on the frame for any signs of damage, especially after hard impacts.
